What is the Cheung Chau Cinema Explorer Base Challenge?

It is an interactive treasure hunt RPG set in the 1931 Cheung Chau Cinema, a Grade III historic building. Players follow the story of Lam Sam and his grandfather across seven puzzle stations, then explore 25 scenic spots around Cheung Chau Island in a Travel Bingo challenge.

How long does the game take?

The Edventure Park Challenge (7 indoor stations) takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The Travel Bingo island-wide challenge has a 3-hour time limit.

Is the game free to play?

The Edventure Park Challenge requires a game pass purchased at the cinema gift shop. The Travel Bingo add-on is an optional $88 (or $83 with advance booking).

Cheung Chau Cinema, built in 1931, is a Grade 3 Historic Building and an archaeological treasure house — over 3,000 Stone Age artifacts were discovered beneath it. We have transformed this historic cinema into an “Edventure Park Challenge”, a vibrant, adventure-filled starting point for your journey.

Two independent games on Cheung Chau. Game 1 — Edventure Park Challenge: inside the cinema, use the clues and gadgets to crack the code. Game 2 — Travel Bingo: explore 25 scenic spots, check in, then answer a quick on-site question to mark each one on your bingo card. Start with whichever you like — the cinema can get crowded, so you may prefer Travel Bingo first.
